Chandigarh Housing Board Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for MIG I, MIG II

Chandigarh Housing Board EWS and LIG Housing scheme under PM Awas Yojana is in limelight these days. The CHB Chandigarh housing board has recently released a demand survey under which applications are invited for Credit Linked Subsidy and affordable housing in Chandigarh. Applicants belonging to EWS and LIG family were eligible to participate in this Housing for All mission by CHB. The annual income limitations for EWS family was 3 Lakh and for LIG, it was up to 6 Lakh.

Medium Income Group, who were out of this Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Demand Survey, there is a good news for them. Chandigarh Housing Board is planning to launch another affordable housing scheme which will be open for MIG Category also. The scheme will follow the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana providing Affordable Housing in Partnership and Individual House Enhancement benefits to MIG category of society.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana , two kinds of MIG  houses will be constructed. MIG-I and MIG-II. The residents of Chandigarh having annual income from Rs 6 to 12 lakh will be eligible for the MIG-I houses while those having the annual income from Rs12 lakh to Rs 18 lakh will be eligible for the MIG-II category houses.

 

Under MIG-I scheme, one can avail home loan of up to 9 Lacs at subsidized interest rate of 4%. This loan can be used to construct a new house or addition of more components in existing house. The hoouse being cvered under MIG-I scheme should have a caroet area between 61-90 Sq.Mt.

Under MIG-II scheme, one can avail home loan of up to 12 Lacs at subsidized interest rate of 3%. This loan can be used to construct a new house or addition of more components in existing house. The hoouse being cvered under MIG-I scheme should have a caroet area between 91-110 Sq.Mt.

The estimated cost of MIG-I houses under Chandigarh Housing Board PM Awas Yojana will be 15 Lakh, whereas the cost of MIG-II houses will be 21 Lakh.
